SharpSpring is growing and we’re looking for a talented Business Development Representative to support our Sales and Marketing team! In this role, you will be calling qualified leads and helping to schedule appointments between these leads and our stellar sales team. You’ll be answering questions online and on the phone from leads who are interested in learning more about SharpSpring. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and have a positive, customer service-oriented attitude and the drive to take ownership of their role.  This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for an opportunity at a fast growing company!


  • Outbound calling to nurture and transform marketing-qualified leads into sales-ready leads
  • Scheduling demos for sales team
  • Tracking activities in SharpSpring’s CRM
  • Analyzing and reporting on success of efforts to turn marketing-qualified leads into opportunities
  • Managing high-volume sales inquiries through SharpSpring’s CRM
  • Communicating with prospects via email and phone
  • Partaking in callbacks to assess and understand the prospect's needs/desires and providing basic education on SharpSpring as a marketing automation platform
  • Attending team meetings aimed at growth, understanding, and collaboration
  • Strategy planning (both individually and as a team)

The Person

  • Outgoing personality and high comfort level communicating on the phone
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Well-organized with effective time-management skills
  • Goal oriented: Able to meet and exceed monthly goals
  • Self-confident with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently as well as on a team
  • Strong organization skills and ability to handle changing priorities
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office expertise
  • Experience with online scheduling/calendar management, GoToMeeting, marketing automation software, and CRMs preferred
  • Prior inbound/outbound sales experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s in business administration, marketing, sales, or related field preferred
  • Ability to be a brand ambassador for SharpSpring: Be inspiring, ambitious, and fun!
